This community event brings together athletes, families, and supporters for a day of basketball while raising funds for families facing breast cancer.

Ball4Life was founded by Margaret Elenis, whose vision of neighbors supporting one another continues to inspire this event. Her legacy lives on as our community comes together to help families during incredibly difficult times.

Proceeds directly support families in our community who are facing a breast cancer diagnosis. Families are nominated by the community and selected to receive financial relief to help with everyday needs such as time away from work, childcare, and other essential support.

More than a tournament, Ball4Life is a reminder that no one faces these challenges alone.

Children 10 & under are free when accompanied by a player

The entire objective of the Ball4Life endeavor is to provide support to families or a family in need. A cancer diagnosis can rock your world. I know firsthand. Aside from struggling with financial issues there are a plethora of other struggles that follow- such as depression, or inability to go to work, ability to be present for your children, the feeling like you don’t belong because you don’t have access to a normal life anymore. What we’re trying to do here is to provide a little cushion for women or moms, struggling with Breast Cancer who need perhaps, a day off from work, because they are ill, child care, a vacation, anything that their heart desires, in order to provide them with the motivation that they are loved, needed & taken care of! I discovered firsthand that it is the circle around me that makes me strong. Let’s show compassion for women who truly need our help. And let’s do it in the most fun way ever! BASKETBALL!!

ALL proceeds from this event will go directly to one or two families chosen from your nominations.

Thank You for Making 2025 Ball4Life a Great Success

On Saturday, April 5th, 2025, our community came together at Archangel Michael Church in Port Washington for an unforgettable day of fun, love, and support. This year’s event was held in loving memory of Margaret Elenis, the founder of this event, who lost her courageous battle with cancer just last month. Margaret’s vision, compassion, and unwavering dedication to helping others continues to guide everything we do.

Thanks to your incredible generosity, we raised over $45,000 to support families facing the unimaginable challenges of a breast cancer diagnosis.

This event was more than just a gathering — it was a powerful reminder that no one fights alone. The proceeds will directly support one or two families, nominated by you, providing them with meaningful relief — whether that means time off work, childcare, or simply the gift of rest.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for showing up, sharing your love, and helping us carry Margaret’s legacy forward.
